As a key component of thermal imager, infrared sensor can perceive infrared signals and convert them into electronic signals. However, when we use the thermal imager outdoors, 1~7μm infrared in the sunlight will have a certain interference and influence on the signal of infrared sensor, thereby reducing the accuracy and reliability of detection, and even damaging the sensor. Specifically, 1~7μm infrared in this kind of environment will change the intensity and frequency of the infrared signal received by the infrared sensor, resulting in distortion or misjudgment of the output signal, which will adversely affect the automatic control system.
For infrared thermal imagers that need to work in direct sunlight, optical reflection technology can be used to effectively reflect 1~7μm infrared in sunlight, so as to achieve accurate load reduction and performance improvement of the sensor. LWP filter coating can achieve low transmittance (Tave<2%) in the wavelength of 1-6.6μm and high transmittance (Tave >93%) in the wavelength of 7.5-14um.
